3 Generations

I enjoyed a nice hour drive out to this family's place. The weather was strange...snow, sun, snow...Crazy. But I didn't want to postpone because their kids were only in town for a day. We did get a couple minutes outside for a few shots while the weather decided what it wanted to do.

Cozy's Cupcake

In the back of my mind I have the song playing..."It's my party and I'll cry if I want too."


Little Cozette came for her 1 year photo shoot with me a couple of day's ago. I surprised her with a little cupcake. By the time she got it she was about done with being my little model. So she was a tad fussy....

...then she reached for the cupcake.

...and shoved that thing in her mouth. And I mean shoved!

...so much that it started to crumple. And we started to giggle.
...her little arms and legs started to wiggle in frustration.

And we were now nearly falling over laughing. ...then she was DONE! And so was our photo shoot.

...fair warning to all future clients. When you bring babies to me with chunky cheeks, they are going to get kisses from me. I just cant help myself...count it as a bonus from your friendly photographer ;).

I think Bryson here may be getting used to it by now.

In a Van...Down by the River.

Crazy title to this post huh? Well, I thought I would share with you a little secret from my last session. This little man, we'll call him "Smilish", set out with me for a little adventure and his 5th year photo session. The sun was bright...but the wind was blowing and it was cold. So at each new location we had about 1 minute to get out and shoot before we jumped back into the warm van. So when I reached the location down by the river I decided to stay in the van for a while to warm him up. My solution, pump up the heat...throw up a small backdrop and open the van door wide. And there you have it...a mobile photo studio with amazing natural light!

And here's the set-up.And the result. Not bad for a Van Down By The River.

There's Something in the Vegas Water...

...that makes beautiful familes. (although this family is originally from Nebraska...so maybe it's a Corn Husker thang ;).

I had the pleasure of photography some of my favorite people while in Vegas. This family was a part of our Small Group at church when we lived in Vegas. Our babies were tiny when we moved away. Actually I only had one and Claire (their second) was only about a year old if I remember right. It was so great to catch up and visit. We miss hanging out with you guys!

Vegas Baby!

This is my Vegas Baby. Born there 6.5 years ago. But that really isn't the point of this post...I just had to share a picture too.

Tomorrow I am off to Las Vegas for the week to not only enjoy some time away with my hubby, but also to attend WPPI. Yeah! So excited about it.

Sorry for the Silence

I have neglected this blog for a little while. Sorry about that. I feel like February was a "Get Organized" month for me. I have been planning out my schedule for the year, updating forms, files and client lists.

I wanted to share a little about my new forms. In the attempt to "go a little green" I have created Paperless Welcome Packets. Although it makes me a little sad not to send out my lovely little mail packs I promise you the on-line welcome album you will recieve when you book an appointment will not disappoint. It is filled with new information and ideas. But you have to book to see it ;).

Speaking of booking. I am booked up for March & April. My late spring and summer fill up fast so dont wait if you have been planning on a session.

You may also notice I put my travel schedule over on the side bar ----->. I don't have solid dates for some of my locations yet. For those of you in Salem, I am planning on offering a weekend of "semi" Mini-Session hosted by Golden Valley Farms. I will post more information on that when I have all the details and packages lined up.
